So I don’t know if you’ve been following me for very long, or if you’ve been a follower for awhile now, but every now and then, I like to make music mixes to share with all of my followers. These mixes are a big part of me because they’re the songs that are basically the soundtrack to my life. This mix is a bit different than the rest. It doesn’t really have a theme, it’s just songs that remind me of my friend, Mike. Most of you may know him as the boy who abuses the CAPS LOCK button to express his inner funny for the blog, yellingrutherford. As much as I love that blog, Mike means more to me than that. He’s a singer-songwriter that continually makes me wonder why talent like his is often over looked and surpassed. The way to my heart is through my funny bone and he has no problem with accessing it.

For the past couple of years, things have been in a stage that I like to call, “fight or flight”. What do you do when life doesn’t go as planned? What do you do, when you just don’t know what to do? Life is full of choices and it can all change in the matter of seconds. What will you do? Will you fight for it? or will you just let it play it out? These songs helped me make some of those decisions. Did I want to fight for what I wanted? Or did I want to deal with what I got and make the best of it. We all go through stages in life when we just don’t know what to do. I hope these songs help you figure out that, life is there to live, not just live through.
